We have been made aware that a number of residents have had Door Stop Sellers knocking at their door

Please be aware that Door Stop Selling is not illegal if the person has a Peddlers License which they are required to show if requested.

We are aware that the recent door stop sellers that have been around Epworth are behaving in an aggressive way when told by residents that they are not going to purchase anything.

Due to this we recommend you do not answer the door to a suspect Door Stop Seller or if you do answer the door simply say no thank you and shut the door, do not engage

We appreciate that incidents like this are concerning to residents especially when there are vulnerable people living near you. We are taking the complaints seriously and actively looking for the door stop sellers or working to ID them off of CCTV footage provided.
